Meet Our Team
Tom Lee, AIA
After completing his studies at what is now known as Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2012, Tom began his professional journey in design, working on projects with an international scope. His career path led him to Austin, Texas, where he took leadership roles as an architect and project manager. It was also during this time that he founded Tenet Design. Under his guidance, the firm has steadily grown, managing various projects and serving a diverse clientele from its offices nationwide.
Returning to Pennsylvania, Tom utilized his varied experience to transition into the field of forensic expert witness. Here, he has applied his knowledge to a spectrum of issues, including construction and professional liability, construction defects, compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and various forms of property damage and accidents, contributing to the industry with a focus on practicality and insight.
John Nawn, P.E.
John is a professional engineer who provides forensic engineering analyses and expert witness services. His areas of expertise include highway design, construction, and maintenance; work zone traffic control; and the evaluation of traffic control devices such as traffic signals, signs, and markings. He also specializes in intersection design, pavement, and road surface design and maintenance, and addresses human factors related to driving. His portfolio extends to accident analysis, trucking-related matters, snow and ice control, parking lot design, layout, operation, and pedestrian accommodation. Moreover, he is proficient in aspects of pedestrian movement, sidewalks, ramps, crosswalks, ADA accessibility, and the oversight of municipal and public utilities within the public right-of-way.
Holding both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering and with over 37 years of experience, he is licensed as a Professional Engineer in nine states and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer. His recognition includes being a Fellow in the National Society of Professional Engineers and serving as the Past President of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers. He has completed over 500 expert reports and has testified in over 50 depositions and trials as an expert witness, lending his expertise in local, state, and federal courts across various states and jurisdictions.
Ashley Sandler
PARTNER - PARALEGAL
After completing her degree in paralegal studies from Manor College, Ashley began her legal career at a defense firm specializing in workers’ compensation and premises liability. Soon after, Ashley spent the next decade at an expert witness firm, working in different capacities alongside civil engineers, mechanical engineers, chemists, and architects. Here, she learned the impact and importance of expert witnesses in cases. Ashley wants to continue being a resource to attorneys, claims adjusters, and experts in any way she can.
